On May 13, the highly anticipated China Cable Industry (2026) High-Quality Development Conference and the Second General Assembly of China Cable Network were grandly held in Jinan, Shandong. She pointed out that cable manufacturers deal with a wide variety of product specifications, leading to frequent instances of incorrect picking and material mix-ups; the reel-changing process is cumbersome, time-consuming, and labor-intensive; and there is a lack of digital records for material flow, resulting in poor traceability; manual handling is physically demanding and poses significant safety risks. To address these challenges, Beacon Robot has launched an intelligent material handling solution tailored specifically for the cable industry. By integrating autonomous mobile robots(AMR/AGV) with an intelligent dispatch system, the solution enables precise material handover and end-to-end tracking, effectively eliminating mispicks and material mix-ups, streamlining the reel-changing process, and ensuring every roll of material is traceable—truly achieving an intelligent and transparent upgrade of production logistics.
