Core Functions of Four Major Systems

This training prominently featured the newly upgraded 3.0 version of the AWMS Automated Warehouse Management System. Designed for intelligent, automated warehousing scenarios, this comprehensive management platform integrates core capabilities including WMS (Warehouse Management), WCS (Equipment Control), RMS (Robot Management), and TCS (Task Control). It delivers an end-to-end digital solution spanning business workflows to equipment operations.

1. WMS Warehouse Management System — Global Operations Commander

Manages all warehouse business logic and interfaces with enterprise ERP systems. Determines “What to Do.”

2. WCS Equipment Control System — Automated Equipment Dispatcher

Receives WMS instructions to coordinate and control fixed automated equipment like conveyors, elevators, and stackers, efficiently executing specific tasks. Manages “How to Do It.”

3. TCS (Task Control System) — Unified Task Coordination Center

Serves as the bridge between WMS, WCS, and RMS. It intelligently allocates tasks, optimizes execution sequences, ensures overall system efficiency, and prevents resource idleness or congestion.

4. RMS (Robot Management System) — Mobile Robot Master Manager

Specializes in cluster scheduling, status monitoring, path planning, and traffic management for mobile robots like AMRs and AGVs, ensuring efficient and safe operation of the robot fleet.

Mastering the Essence of AWMS

The upgraded AWMS 3.0 Warehouse Automation Management System transcends traditional MES by integrating WMS, WCS, TCS, and RMS into a unified platform. This enhances inter-system communication efficiency while significantly reducing redundant configurations. Traffic management has been upgraded to multi-threading, boosting efficiency and load capacity.

(1) Independent Deployment, Agile Operations

Supports effortless distributed deployment across servers/computers. Each service undergoes independent development, testing, and release, enabling rapid response to market and operational demands.

(2) Technological Heterogeneity, Flexible Selection

Different services can adopt the most suitable technology stack (language, database) based on business characteristics.

(3) Elastic Scaling, High Availability

Precise scaling of specific services on demand prevents resource wastage. Fault isolation avoids system-wide crashes.

(4) Easy Maintenance, Continuous Evolution

Compact codebases with single-purpose functions facilitate understanding and refactoring, supporting long-term sustainable system evolution.

Through this company-wide training, every employee will gain a clear understanding of the core advantages and technical principles of the AWMS 3.0 Warehouse Automation Management System. Simultaneously, it reinforces the company's culture of technological innovation and learning organization ethos, embedding “embracing change and continuous learning” as a shared trait among Beacon Robot employees. This injects vitality into future sustained innovation.
